For this project, I redesigned the cover of Han Kang’s The White Book by focusing on
themes that really resonated with me: impermanence, healing, and existence. To bring
these ideas to life, I used masking tape to create the text and design. The tape’s fragile,
layered look felt like a perfect way to visually capture the fleeting and delicate nature of
life that the book explores. I kept the overall design simple and quiet, hoping to echo the
reflective and meditative tone of the story. This redesign was a chance to experiment
with unconventional materials and express how deeply I connected with the book’s
message.
